Canada's Dominique Maltais won the silver medal in women's World Cup snowboard cross Sunday.
The Petite-Riviere-Saint-Francois, Que., product finished second to Lindsey Jacobellis of the United States, while Bulgaria's Alexandra Jekova was third.
"Of course I'm disappointed. I know I made a few mistakes at the top. But I came back to the last bank and came out there pretty fast," Maltais said. "It was a good race. I'm healthy. I stepped it up once again today. I guess that's most important. So I'm happy in the end."
Maelle Ricker of West Vancouver, B.C., was fifth.
In the men's race, Nate Holland of the U.S. completed a gold-medal sweep for the Americans. Austria's Markus Schairer was second, while Italy's Emanuel Perathoner took third.
