Philippe Fournier, a poll analyst and editor-in-chief of 338Canada, says poll forecasts before the election did predict the result well in most parts of the country, but they failed to capture stronger-than-expected Conservative voting in Ontario's Golden Horseshoe and Pierre Poilievre's surprise loss in Ottawa.
