A small, rural village in the Township of North Dumfries called Ayr is quickly growing. Its population is also rapidly changing. More newcomers are settling there, and a flourishing Muslim population is taking root. One of the people looking to celebrate and unite long-time residents and new members of the community in Ayr is Qavi Aziz, chair of the Ayr Islamic Centre. The centre is hosting a community potluck on Saturday — and everyone is welcome to attend.
