Pope Francis was the first from Latin America. Hosffman Ospino, professor of Hispanis Mistry at Boston College, says Francis ‘stood up to the powers to be’ and reminded wealthier nations to recognize the ‘dignity and the humanity of migrants, refugees, the poor and anybody who was vulnerable.’
