Canadians should eat more local seafood amid tariff war, fishers say
Sonia Strobel, CEO of the Skipper Otto fishery, and Tyler Morin, who runs Ile-A-La-Crosse Fish Company in northern Saskatchewan, says that Canada exports 90 per cent of its seafood, but 80 per cent of the seafood that Canadians eat is imported. With the ongoing tariff war, they argue there should be moves to bring down interprovincial trade barriers and promote Canadian seafood.
