All-clear given for water in the Cardigan River following June 2024 fish kill
Ivan Hughes didn’t think he’d be back fishing on the Cardigan River so soon. Last June, about 300 dead fish and some thick, smelly sludge were found in one section of the eastern P.E.I. river. A report issued by the province says officials haven’t been able to determine why the fish died, but things like water temperature or nutrient levels could have been issues. CBC's Tony Davis has more.
