James Lim and Philip Lange from the University of B.C. are co-authors of a new study on how to match young cancer patients with personalized drug treatments. Lange says that the team used chicken eggs to help grow tumours as part of the study, saying that the embryonic chicken functioned as a "Petri dish" for researchers.
