The consumption and treatment services (CTS) site on Duke Street W. in downtown Kitchener will close by end-of-day on Monday and become a drop-in centre. The province has ordered the CTS to close because it's considered to be too close to a daycare located at city hall. Julie Kalbfleisch with Sanguen Health Centre, which operates the CTS, says without provincial funding and a federal exemption, it's impossible to keep the site open, even though an Ontario Superior Court judge granted an injunction on Friday afternoon that allows sites across the province to remain open for now.
