B.C. athlete Evan Dunfee broke the 35 km race walk world record by seven seconds at the recent World Athletics Race Walking Tour meeting in Slovakia. He told the CBC's Gloria Macarenko that the moment he realized he broke the record was an "incredible joy" and something his coach had dreamed up when the Richmond athlete was a teenager.
