Jasper, Alta., had no housing vacancies before the wildfire last July destroyed one-third of its buildings. Designated affordable housing has been particularly hard to find: the town's only affordable housing building last had a vacant unit in 2010. Now, local planners are trying to add to the housing supply, while rebuilding from the wildfire.
