Alberta Health Services (AHS) is defending itself against a wrongful dismissal lawsuit filed by its former CEO, Athana Mentzelopoulos. The agency's statement of defence denies Mentzelopoulos was terminated due to an investigation and audit, and states AHS lost confidence in her ability to carry out the job in a competent manner.
