Even with a 30-day reprieve from tariffs, experts say they could have significant impact in Alberta, resulting in increases in unemployment, inflation and interest rates in the province. Some predict agriculture, manufacturing and petrochemical sectors will be among the first to be impacted. Tariffs could also put pressure on house prices, due to an increase in the cost of materials needed to build homes.
