Calgary city council and the provincial government have agreed to build the Green Line from Shepard to the new arena. While Calgary Mayor Jyoti Gondek supports the Green Line's well-studied southeast section, she has maintained an elevated track would be terrible for downtown business. Alberta Transportation Minister Devin Dreeshen responded in an interview with the Calgary Eyeopener.
