President Donald Trump says the U.S. will only recognize male and female. The 2SLGBTQ+ community in Windsor worry about what it means for Canada
U.S. President Donald Trump’s executive order Monday recognizes only two sexes, male and female. The order requires the government to use the term "sex" rather than "gender," and mandates government-issued identification refer only to male and female. CBC's Pratyush Dayal speaks with Anold Mulaisho, an intersex advocate, Akshat Virmani, a trans woman, Derrick Carl Biso, an advocate with Trans Wellness Ontario, and Omid Razavi, executive director at It Gets Better Canada, about what this order would mean on this side of the border.
