Residents in the small West Kootenay communities of Glade, Harrop and Procter are waiting to see if vital cable ferries are cancelled amid job action by workers. So far, the Glade and Harrop cable ferries have been unaffected by the ongoing strike on the Kootenay Lake ferry route. But as the B.C. General Employees’ Union and employer Western Pacific Marine are still unable to reach a deal, the possibility of a cable ferry strike looms over residents.
