Former finance minister Chrystia Freeland and Ontario MP Karina Gould launched their rival bids for the Liberal leadership race. However, Freeland’s speech was repeatedly drowned out by pro-Palestinian protesters in the crowd who shouted her down with calls of 'genocide supporter' and loud banging.
