Quebec murder case sparks debate about where trans inmates should serve time
Levana Ballouz, previously known as Mohamad Al Ballouz, was convicted in December 2024 of killing her partner and their two children. Ballouz is currently being held in a men's prison but has asked to serve her time in a women's prison.
