Don't disable emergency alerts on your phone, L.A. official says after 'erroneous' fire alerts
Kevin McGowan, director of the Office of Emergency Management for the County of Los Angeles, apologized for what he called 'erroneous' emergency alerts at a news briefing on Friday, saying the messages are not 'human-driven' and that teams are investigating the software issue. 'I implore everyone to not disable the messages on your phone.'
