Minister asked if rules need tightening following new foreign interference claims
Minister of Public Safety and Democratic Institutions Dominic LeBlanc accused Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre of failing to take allegations of foreign interference in the last Conservative leadership race seriously. Poilievre continues to refuse to get the security clearance he needs to be briefed on the issue. LeBlanc was responding to a question about a Radio-Canada report that agents of the Indian government allegedly attempted to derail Patrick Brown's campaign for the leadership of the Conservative Party in 2022, which Poilievre won.
