      Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease, is affecting more and more people as the population ages. Erik Pioro, the chair of the ALS Society of B.C., spoke to the CBC about drugs that could potentially slow or cure the disease.
