Waabishkigaabo is an Anishinaabe from Wauzhushk Onigum Nation, located on the northern shores of Kabapikotawangag. He has studied at the University of Manitoba with a major in political studies, and has spent 17 years of his life advocating for Indigenous issues. He grew up in a home strong in the spirituality, culture, and history of Anishinaabeg of Treaty 3. He is also a former elected youth leader for Treaty 3, Chiefs of Ontario, and Assembly of First Nations.
