Colombian pop star Shakira to perform on Monday after being hospitalized with stomach illness
Singer had cancelled Sunday concert in Lima which she says will be rescheduled

Colombian singer Shakira said Monday that she will resume her world tour and perform in Lima, Peru, on Monday evening, following the cancellation of a concert over the weekend due to a stomach illness.
The four-time Grammy winner shared the news on her Instagram account, saying that her concert at Lima's Estadio Nacional soccer stadium will begin at 8:15 p.m. local time.
Shakira, 48, arrived in Peru on Friday evening, and was scheduled to perform on Sunday and Monday. The country is the second stop on her Latin American tour, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, following two nights in Brazil last week.
However, she cancelled the first of her two shows on Sunday, informing fans on social media that she had been hospitalized due to an abdominal condition.
"I am very sad that I will not be able to take the stage today. I have been deeply emotional and excited about reuniting with my beloved Peruvian audience," she said.
Latin fans have given Shakira a warm welcome, with crowds gathering at airports to greet her.
"Thank you for such an emotional welcome, Lima!" she posted Saturday on Instagram.
Shakira wrote on X that her team is working on a new date for the show that was cancelled on Sunday.
The singer is touring in support of her latest album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, in which she channels her highly publicized divorce into music.
The record includes the global hit Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53 and won Best Latin Pop Album at the 2024 Grammy Awards earlier this month.
Shakira's tour continues across Latin America before heading to Canada and the U.S. in May for a series of concerts through June.
