Paul Teal, a film and TV actor known best for his role in the CW teen soap One Tree Hill, has died at the age of 35, according to a statement from his agent.

Teal died on Friday November 15 after a seven month battle with Stage 4 neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer, according to Susan Tolar Walters.

"He has been an important part of the STW family for over 10 years," Walters wrote.

"His exceptional talent and kind spirit touched the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. The void he leaves behind will be deeply felt."

Teal's partner, Emilia Torello, shared a post on social media also commemorating the actor.

"The most thoughtful, inspiring, driven, self-disciplined, loving man passed away," Torello wrote on Instagram.

"Paul, you were my soulmate, my soon-to-be-husband, my rock, and my future. You filled my lungs with laughter, my stomach with butterflies, and my heart with love. You were taken too soon, in a battle that you fought bravely without fail."

Teal played Josh Avery on One Tree Hill for seven episodes during the show's seventh season.

One Tree Hill co-star Bethany Joy Lenz also paid tribute to the late actor on Instagram.

"My heart is heavy. Paul Teal was the kind of guy who lit up a room without trying. His bright smile, infectious laugh and kind heart made you want to be near him," Lenz wrote.

Another One Tree Hill co-star, Sophia Bush, remembered Teal on Instagram writing, "Incredibly saddened to hear about the passing of Paul Teal," also calling him "such a talent."

Teal appeared in multiple TV series, including Outer Banks and The Walking Dead: World Beyond.

The actor will appear in a role he filmed prior to his passing in the upcoming Starz thriller series The Hunting Wives, based on the novel of the same name by May Cobb, also featuring Malin Akerman, Brittany Snow and Dermot Mulroney.
