Carly Rae Jepsen, Canadian Call Me Maybe singer, releases new single I Really Like You
Canadian singer-songwriter released new song on iTunes early Monday
Carly Rae Jepsen has released a new single, hoping to match the success of her 2012 smash hit and irrepressible earworm Call Me Maybe.
The Canadian singer-songwriter dropped the new tune, I Really Like You, on iTunes early Monday before she performed the song live on ABC's Good Morning America.

"I really, really, really, really, really, really like you," sings Jepsen in the catchy, '80s synth-sounding pop track.
"And I want you, do you want me, do you want me, too?"
'I'm ready'
It's been two-and-a-half years since Jepsen released her second studio album Kiss, the record that featured the multi-platinum Call Me Maybe.
The 29-year-old artist, who starred in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella on Broadway last year, has explained to fans what she's been doing all this time.
"I've been hiding in forests where one meets a prince and dances til midnight," reads a message on Jepsen's official website.
"I've been cocooned in my Soho apartment, sipping tea with artists so weird and wonderful that only New York could keep them happy. I have been hiking to the tippy tops of LA peaks where I've said this out loud to no one ... I'm ready."
Jepsen's manager Scooter Braun, who also reps Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, points to a different reason for her extended absence.
"I told her that she couldn't come out with anything unless it was on the level of Call Me Maybe," Braun told Billboard in January. "And, now we have a new one that is on that level."
It's not clear when Jepsen's third studio album will be completed.
But Jepsen is hinting on Instagram that a video for I Really Like You, featuring Justin Bieber and Hollywood actor Tom Hanks, is coming out soon.
