Big Valley Jamboree announced the date for a makeup concert featuring country singer Tim McGraw after a windstorm caused the stage to collapse cancelling the final day of the event.

McGraw was scheduled to close the festival in Camrose, Alta., when the main stage collapsed during a windstorm on Aug. 1, killing one person and injuring 75 others.

Donna Moore, 35, from Lloydminster, Alta., was killed when a speaker fell on top of her.

Ticket holders can see McGraw and other music performers at the free private concert on Sept. 17 at Rexall Place in Edmonton.

Among the injured were country singer Billy Currington and his bassist, Alex Stevens.

Currington's band was performing their last song when the roof of the stage collapsed. Currington suffered a minor concussion while his band mate, Stevens, had to undergo immediate surgery for a severed artery and nerves in his left arm.

The tragic event forced promoter Panhandle Productions to cancel the last day of the festival.

The concert will only be held for ticket-holders with VIP seats, reserved seats, three-day passes or a single-day ticket for Aug. 2. Each ticket will be pre-assigned with a seat for the show.

More music performers are set to take part, but have yet to be announced.

Ticket holders, who purchased their tickets through Panhandle Productions, Ticketmaster or by phone, will receive instructions in the mail on how to receive tickets for the private event.
