Windsor restaurants hosting game meat celebration
Jonathan Pinto learns about a week-long game meat celebration at The Willistead and Snackbar-B-Q in Windsor
Two of Windsor's most popular restaurants, The Willistead in Walkerville and Snackbar-B-Q in downtown Windsor, are hosting a celebration of game meat next week called "Chefs Gone Wild".
Essentially, it's a competition between the kitchen staff of the two establishments. Each team will be given the same game meats and will craft a menu around it. Some of meats on the menu include rabbit, boar, kangaroo and even camel.

Want to try cooking game meat for yourself?
I recently found a business in Windsor Morning's listening area that offers an incredible selection of game meat.
Totally Game Meat is a relatively new business in downtown Sarnia, Ont. that sells game meat raised on farms across Ontario.

You'll find alpaca, duck, ostrich, venison and wild boar, to name a few. They also make ready-to-heat meals and serve hot lunches. I had an excellent bison-blueberry perogy when I dropped by a few weeks ago.
Totally Game Meat is located at 126 Christina St N. in Sarnia.
