Fire causes extensive damage to a home on Memorial Drive

A house fire on Memorial Drive Monday night caused extensive damage.

The cause of the fire is being investigated

Windsor Fire officials say six people are displaced following last night's house fire on Memorial Drive, just east of Howard Avenue.

Crews say the blaze broke out around 8 p.m. in the basement but they're unsure what sparked the fire.

Damage is pegged at roughly $115,000.

Two cats died in the blaze and one person was treated for minor smoke inhalation.
