Five Windsor residents are facing various criminal charges, including possession and selling contraband tobacco.
Five Windsor men are facing a number of charges including possessing and selling illegal tobacco.
Police searched two Windsor residences on Maple Leaf Cres. and Vanier St. earlier this week and seized a large quantity of contraband tobacco, cash and a vehicle.
About 1,145 cartons of tobacco and 10 kilograms of water pipe tobacco were seized along with approximately $2,000 in cash and a 2010 Honda Civic.
One man faces an additional charge for attempting to destroy evidence.
“The RCMP remains committed to disrupting the distribution of contraband tobacco which funds criminal enterprises in our communities,” RCMP Sgt. Peter Koersvelt said in a news release.
