No injuries reported after fire at Chatham-Kent encampment
Firefighters removed multiple tanks of propane

No one was injured, Chatham-Kent firefighters say, after a fire at an encampment tin the area Wednesday afternoon.
First responders were called to a fire at a tent in the Thames Street encampment in Chatham just after 3 p.m. On scene, firefighters worked to remove multiple propane tanks and extinguish the blaze.
There were no reported injuries, the town said in a statement.

Firefighters, community service and housing staff have visited the encampment in recent weeks to ensure proper spacing between the tents, town officials said.
"Diligent efforts have been made by community partners to reduce the presence of combustibles in the area," the town said in a statement.
The cause of the fire is still undetermined.
