Worker dies after falling from ladder on downtown Toronto billboard
Ministry of Labour now launching investigation into cause of the fall, police say
A worker is dead after falling from a ladder placed on a billboard in downtown Toronto Monday morning, according to police.
The man was at work near Bathurst and Dupont streets at about 8:40 a.m. when he fell.
Paramedics rushed to the scene to care for him, but he was pronounced dead soon after, investigators say.
Toronto police say the Ministry of Labour has been notified, and will now launch an investigation into what happened.
