2 dead, 1 in custody after reported stabbing in vehicle in Toronto following 'obvious struggle'
2 people died at the scene, 1 taken into custody and to hospital, police say

Two people have died and a man is custody after a reported stabbing in a vehicle in Toronto on Friday, police say.
Acting Insp. Roger Desrochers, spokesperson for the Toronto Police Service, said police received several calls about an "obvious struggle" inside a vehicle in the area of Bathurst Street and and Ellerslie Avenue, north of Sheppard Avenue West, at about 3:30 p.m.
When police arrived a short time later, they found three people who had been injured. Two people were pronounced dead at the scene, despite attempts by police and paramedics to save their lives, he said.
The third person, a man, was taken into custody. He suffered minor injuries and police took him to hospital for treatment.
Desrochers said they are not looking for any other suspects.
"At this time, there is no ongoing concern for public safety. It's an isolated incident," he said. "We are confident that we have the party responsible. No one is outstanding at this time. We're satisfied that the incident is contained."
Next of kin have not yet been notified.
Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation. Officers are interviewing witnesses and canvassing the neighbourhood, he added.
Earlier, police said in a tweet that there was a report of an altercation between a man and a woman, but Desrochers did not confirm the sexes of the victims. He also did not confirm the cause of death, whether a stabbing occurred, or the nature of the relationship, if any, among the people involved.
"It's too early to say in the investigation," he said.
Anyone who witnessed anything relevant to the investigation or who has dashboard camera footage is urged to come forward to police.
A stretch of Bathurst Street is closed as police continue to investigate.
