Christmas wreath thief caught on camera in Toronto

A woman was recorded stealing a Christmas wreath from a Toronto home over the weekend and the victim is calling her a "Grinch" in a public appeal to catch the suspect.

A woman was recorded stealing a Christmas wreath from a Toronto home over the weekend and the victim is calling her a "Grinch" in a public appeal to catch the thief.

Sabrina Magyar posted the security camera video Saturday on Facebook, claiming the theft took place at 3 a.m. 

The video has gone viral after being watched more than 110,000 times on the social media site.

The incident took place at a home on Macpherson Avenue, which is northwest of Avenue Road and Dupont Street.

That's where a woman was spotted walking up to the front door of a home, using two hands to pull a wreath off the door and quickly walking away.

Before the video ends, she is seen picking up another wreath, which may have also been stolen.

Magyar posted a second video of the incident on Facebook, which received more than 23,000 views, with the following message: 

"Please share this with your network someone knows this Grinch!!!!"

Toronto police say the victim called to report the incident and they're currently investigating.

Police add they want to identify the woman in the video to understand why she took it.
