Bisesar allegedly stabbed a woman inside a downtown Shoppers Drug Mart on Friday shortly before 3 p.m., police say. The woman sustained life-threatening injuries and remains in grave condition.
Police described the incident as a "completely unprovoked attack," adding that Bisesar was not previously known to them. There is no indication the victim and suspect knew each other, police said.
Ties to financial district
Police had previously said the suspect has "some ties to the financial district."
A lengthy LinkedIn profile that appears to belong to Bisesar says she worked in several capacities at York University between 1999 and 2007, including roles as a systems administrator and technical information analyst.
A spokesperson for York University confirmed that Bisesar received a Bachelor of Administrative Studies in 2004 and a Masters of Business Administration in 2007 at the university but did not provide further comment.
Former colleague and York University associate professor Georges Monette described Bisesar as "superb both for the outstanding quality of her work and for her warmth and interpersonal skills," in a LinkedIn recommendation.
Monette confirmed to CBC News that he knew Bisesar and those were his words, but he declined to comment further.
Bisesar is due to appear at the College Park courthouse Wednesday morning.
