Polls open across the GTA for the federal election
You don't need a Voters Information Card to cast your ballot on Monday

Voters across the Greater Toronto Area are casting their ballot as polls open for the federal election on Monday.
Eligible voters can cast their ballot from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. EST. You must be a Canadian citizen and at least 18 years old.
You can find your polling station by entering your postal code on the Elections Canada website.
If you received a Voters Information Card, bring that with you to the polling station, along with another piece of ID that shows your address.
But you don't need to have a Voters Information card to vote. Elections Canada has a full list of accepted IDs on their website.
You can even vote if you don't have any ID, if you declare your identity and address in writing and have someone who knows you and is assigned to your polling station vouch for you. A registered voter can only vouch for one person.
Eligible voters are required to have three consecutive hours to cast their ballot. That means if you work from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., your employer must give you time off to vote, at their discretion.
