A lineup of dozens stretched from 819 Queen St. W., starting around 7 a.m., as Beliebers waited hopefully for the star's pop-up shop to open in advance of his show at the Air Canada Centre in the evening.

There were whispers that the pop music superstar would make an appearance — but fans were disappointed. Gillian Reston spent roughly four hours waiting to spend her money, $124 swallowed up by two Bieber T-shirts.
Regrets? No way, she said.

Many of those in line were picking up swag to wear to the Toronto stop on his Purpose tour Wednesday and Thursday nights.

So for those who'd hoped to see the Biebs at the shop, there's still a chance to see him onstage.
