East-end shooting leaves young man dead

A young man is dead after a shooting Sunday evening in the city's east end.

Just after 6:30 p.m., police responded to a shooting on Glendower Circuit, in the area of Birchmount Road and Finch Avenue East.

An injured man was found at the scene. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The identity of the man, who police say is 20 years old, is expected to be released after the post-mortem exam.
