A man from Neebing Ont., west of Thunder Bay, will have to pay the price for careless hunting.
In November, 2015, the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry was called about a deer being shot near a home on Sturgeon Bay Road in the Municipality of Neebing, according to a press release issued by the ministry on Tuesday.
An investigation by conservation officers showed a man had shot a white-tailed deer while it stood in a driveway.
On August 3, 2016, the man pleaded guilty to careless hunting and was fined $1,500.
He was also suspended from hunting for a year and must successfully complete the Ontario Hunter Education Program before hunting in the province again.
