Medical issues force trapper in Nipigon area out of the bush

Murray Monk and his wife have lived off the grid for about 8 years in their cabin north of Nipigon, near Cosgrave Lake.

The longtime trapper stopped seeing a doctor 25 years ago but problems with his hips brought him to the hospital in Thunder Bay.

Our Outdoor columnist, Gord Ellis, spoke with Monk and found out the wear and tear on his body was the least of his problems.
