Delaine Copenace search: 'Just help me bring her home,' mom pleads

The search for a missing 16-year-old girl in Kenora is entering its second week.

Delaine Copenace was last seen in Kenora's downtown area at the end of February.

Her mom Anida Ross said she believes her daughter will be found.

"She knows I'm coming for her. I truly believe that. She's going to be here. I have this blanket ready for her so I can wrap it around her," Ross said.

"I just want everybody to just help me bring her home, to us," Ross added. "She's waiting for us. I truly believe we're going to find her."

Copenace is described by Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) as having a larger build, with brown eyes and long black hair. She was last seen wearing black boots, a black jacket, a "Bullet for my Valentine" T-shirt and black jeans with zippered pockets.

The community search continues in Kenora on Monday. It's headquartered at the Knox United Church.

The Bear Clan is conducting a search in Winnipeg.

In Thunder Bay, a vigil for Copenace is planned for Tuesday night at the Spirit Garden at Prince Arthur's Landing.
