A series produced by CBC Thunder Bay reporter Nicole Ireland has won an award from the RTDNA, Canada's association of electronic journalists.

The series, Who Cares?, shone a light behind the walls of northwestern Ontario long-term care homes, showing the challenges faced by residents, their families, and front-line staff.
The Dan McArthur Award was presented to Ireland, and CBC Thunder Bay, for having the best in-depth or investigative reporting.
The award was announced on Saturday at the Central Canada awards luncheon in Toronto.
