A new court date has been set in the case involving a Greater Sudbury Police constable who’s been charged with assault.

Christopher Labreche is scheduled to make his first court appearance on April 8.

He’s accused of assaulting Tanner Currie at Greater Sudbury Police headquarters last year.

The incident was caught on tape, and shows Labreche throwing Currie face-first into a window which then shatters.

Labreche has declined to comment, as have Sudbury Police, as the matter is before the court.
