Bring on bear season! Sudbury tracks nuisance bears with online map
It's spring in Northern Ontario. That means a hint of warm weather, buds on the trees...and surprise encounters with black bears.
City reminding people the map is just for reporting sightings, not emergencies

It's spring in northern Ontario. That means a hint of warm weather, buds on the trees...and surprise encounters with black bears.
Love them or hate them, bears are a part of the Sudbury landscape.
And to help you keep track of the furry visitors in your neighbourhood, the city has updated its Report-a-Bear website.
Most recent bear sightings are coloured, with week-old views shaded in grey.
CBC Sudbury is looking for your photos and videos too. Post on our page or send us a message about your encounters this year.
This picture was tweeted to us from Joseph Roy in Britt, Ont.
