What's open and closed in Saskatoon on Canada Day

Many facilities are still open if you want to run errands on the holiday.

Saskatoon still has a number of facilities open on the holiday. 

City Hall will be closed, parking meters will not require payment and the impound lot will not be releasing vehicles. Garbage, recycling and compost will be picked up as usual, if Wednesday is the day the city normally comes for it.

Here's a look at the hours of some of the other facilities: 

  • Landfill: 7:30 a.m. CST to 5:30 p.m.
  • Compost Depot: 9:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Transit: Holiday/Sunday schedule
  • Access Transit: booked in advance from 8:15 a.m. to 11:45 p.m.
  • Outdoor pools: 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Forestry Farm and Golf Courses: Regular hours.
  • Athletic Centres: hours vary, check them here.
