Several venues around Saskatchewan are hosting viewing parties Saturday as the Tragically Hip performs their final concert on the Man Machine Poem tour.

CBC will be broadcasting as the band performs in the hometown of Kingston, Ont., at 6:30 p.m. CST. The broadcast will be commercial free and available on TV, radio, online and on CBC Music's app.

People in Regina have a few options to watch the broadcast – including the biggest screen in the city. Both Casino Regina and the Kramer Imax Theatre will be showing the broadcast.

In Saskatoon, Capitol Music Club is hosting a viewing party. Tribute band The 100th Meridian will take the stage following the broadcast. A cover charge will be delivered as donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Saskatoon's Roxy Theatre will be showing the concert in its main auditorium, free of charge. However it will be collecting donations for the Gord Downie Fund For Brain Cancer Research.

The PA Brewing Company will screen the broadcast in Prince Albert.

Across the province, people can also watch the concert at select restaurants and lounges. Original Joe's, State and Main (Saskatoon), and Boston Pizza will be broadcasting the show live.

Serving up a tribute

In the small community of Mortlach, a café will be serving an all-Canadian tribute dinner as part of its viewing party.

The menu includes mac and cheese with maple braised pork belly, Nanaimo-style Saskatchewan bars/butter tarts and Pilsner.

On its Facebook page, the Little Red Market Café calls it, "a night nobody should not be watching Gord do his thing one last time".
