Saskatoon tech company Coconut Calendar gets $4.2M in funding
CEO Katherine Regnier says they will use funding to hire more staff in both Saskatoon and Toronto
Saskatoon's Coconut Software Corporation has received a big boost with $4.2 million in investments.
Used by big names like London Drugs, Rogers, and Telus, their product Coconut Calendar is designed to help large companies manage customer appointments through features such as online bookings, automated reminders, and calendar syncing.
Building a local tech community
Founded in 2011, this is the company's first significant round of venture capital financing, with a seed round of $710,000 raised in October 2016.
With this round of funding, Coconut has joined a growing list of prosperous Saskatoon technology firms.
"We're starting to get this community of technology in Saskatoon of leaders who are saying, you know what, we can build great companies right here in Saskatoon," said Coconut Calendar CEO Katherine Regnier.
