Man charged with 2nd-degree murder in 2024 shooting outside Saskatoon church

28-year-old Aaron Lakota Ironstand appeared in court on Thursday morning and is charged with second degree murder in relation to Saskatoon's eight homicide of 2024.

A suspect is now in custody and charged with second-degree murder in connection with Saskatoon's eighth homicide of 2024.

Aaron Lakota Ironstand, 28, appeared in Saskatoon provincial court on Thursday morning.

It's alleged he killed 25-year-old Kade Lee on April 16, 2024.

Lee was shot on the sidewalk outside St. Mary's church, at 20th Street West and Avenue O. Police said at the time that he was taken to Royal University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

There were 15 homicides in the city in 2024.
