Flag raising kicks off Pride Festival
Pride Week in Saskatoon kicked off with the annual raising of the rainbow flag.
Parade and events to follow

For the sixth year running, Brice Field stood in front of Saskatoon's city hall and raised a flag.
"It makes me proud that I'm able to do this," he said.
Field is the chair of the Saskatoon Diversity Network. This morning, he raised the multi-coloured rainbow flag that symbolizes Pride Week.
"It's a symbol of diversity, and everything the queer community represents," he said.
Field called on people in the crowd to join him at the flagpole. They formed a line, with each person taking a turn drawing the flag up the pole in increments. Field said it's a significant gesture.
"This year we wanted to show that Pride is about community, and the thousands of people that do support the queer community in Saskatoon."
