Saskatoon firefighters free falcon from bus barn tower

A bird was caught in a wire on the communications tower at the city bus barns on Avenue C North.

The raptor had been stuck on the tower since Thursday

A falcon now flies free thanks to the Saskatoon Fire Department.

The bird was hanging upside down for a day, caught in a wire on the communications tower at the city bus barns on Avenue C North.

Two units responded after the call came in around 11:20 a.m. CST Friday.

A spokesperson said it flew away, and the scene was cleared by 12:30 p.m. CST.
