Facebook page connects Saskatoon Transit passengers with rides during lockout

Doug Ramage headed online to help bus riders impacted by the Saskatoon Transit lockout get to work or school.

He set up a Facebook page called #YXE Share-a-Ride to connect transit riders looking for another way to get around with vehicle owners who have room for passengers. 

"There's a number of people interacting on that page, and it seems like we're connecting some people," he said. 

As of Monday morning, the page has over 1,000 people who have "liked" it. 

"Is this a perfect solution?" Ramage wrote on the Facebook page. "No, but if we all do what we can to help each other out it might make it easier for everyone in the city."
