Join the CBC team at the 46th annual Saskatchewan Marathon, taking place in Saskatoon from Friday, May 24 to Sunday, May 26.

CBC is proud to be the official sponsor of this year's event.

There are so many reasons to run: To be your best. To experience new places and commutes. To honour loved ones.

Running matters. Whether it's your first time at the starting line or you're a seasoned racer, the Saskatchewan Marathon helps you use your feet to reach your goal.

About the event

The Saskatchewan Marathon started with just the 26.2 mile distance.  Now there are six races: Kids' MaraFun, 2.2K, 5K, 10K, half-marathon and full marathon.  The half-marathon is like running from Saskatoon to Warman, and the full marathon is like running from Yorkton to Melville.

It's a first-class event. It's been a Boston qualifier for years and participants enjoy the accuracy and convenience of race chip timing.

  • The women's record for the Sask Marathon is held by Christine Bant – 2023 – 2:54:05.
  • The men's Sask Marathon record is held by David Mutai – 2019 – 2:22:09.
